Meet Our Director
Bianca Andrew MSc
Nominated Individual & Registered Service Manager
Bianca Andrew MSc brings over 18 years of experience in Social Care, specialising in supporting individuals who have experienced childhood trauma. Her career began in 2006 as a Trainee Psychologist in HM Prison Service. During this time, she graduated with a Master's in Forensic Psychology following the criminal justice pathway.
Her work focuses on addressing the complex challenges these individuals face in adulthood, including mental and physical health issues, substance use, and offending behaviour.
Bianca's impactful work with young and adult prolific offenders in Croydon earned recognition from the Association of Chief Police Officers. Through her dedicated efforts, she successfully engaged individuals in Tier 3 and 4 treatment programmes, leading to a significant reduction in reoffending rates.
In 2011, Bianca established supported housing services for homeless charity Thames Reach, demonstrating exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and an ability to connect with service users on a personal level. These strengths were instrumental in securing contracts commissioned by RB Greenwich in 2012, 2015, and 2018.
A core aspect of Bianca's approach is creating safe spaces to address the root causes of complex issues and developing effective solutions. This philosophy is central to the work at Place of Progress.
Under Bianca's leadership, Place of Progress operates six OfSTED registered homes and collaborates with multiple Local Authorities.
